KARACHI: The Khunjerab Pass, connecting Gilgit Baltistan with Xinjiang, that was closed due to pandemic in 2020, is being opened Saturday (1st of April, 2023) for two-side trade.

It is pertinent to mention here that Khunjerab Pass was opened for a while facilitating Chinese exports to Pakistan and from today onwards Pakistani exporters will also be able to make use of it.

Savants at the helm of affairs are confident that reopening of Khunjerab Pass would enormously contribute towards ameliorating the volume of Sino-Pak trade.
